2019 Audi RS5 Rumor, Review, And Release Date – When we got a new batch of spy shots of the A5 just weeks before the car’s official debut, we were at a bit of a loss. After closer inspection, though, we realized that these spy shots may very well be of the next generation RS5. Now that the A5 and S5 have made their debut, the next shots of the RS5 test mule should shed a significant amount of camo. By that point, we should be looking at a real body with fewer deceptions. Considering there wasn’t an RS5 for the 2016 model year, we’re really looking forward to seeing the new RS5 in the metal.
2019 Audi RS5 Future
The best thing about seeing the A5 in the metal is that we now have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the RS5. We’ve also taken the most recent spy shots and what we know about the A5 and tapped into our resident artist to render up what the RS5 convertible might look like. With that being the case, we can say a lot about the upcoming RS5 coupe, so check out our full review of it in the details below
2019 Audi RS5 Exterior And Interior

Of course, it will come with Audi’s virtual cockpit and a larger MMI infotainment system. The wood or aluminum inlays from the A5 will likely be replaced by clear-finished carbon fiber – you know, the normal RS5 treatment. The standard steering wheel will be replaced by a sporty, flat-bottom unit. As it normally goes, the RS5 will be pretty much fully loaded minus add-ons like the MMI navigation plus system and the Driver’s package, which both breathe a little more visual life into the range-topping model. All of the standard features like LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, USB power ports, inductive phone charging, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system will carry over to the RS5.
2019 Audi RS5 Engine
As we obviously know very little about the upcoming RS5, information about the drivetrain is also sketchy at best. We’re expecting the RS5 to use the same engine that will be in the RS4. That should be a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V-6 that pushes somewhere between 450 and 470 horsepower. Of course, the new RS5 will also be lighter, so expect improvements in 0-to-60 times, quarter-mile times, and top speed to improve. More information will become available as time goes on, so stay tuned for future updates.
2019 Audi RS5 Price And Release Date
It’s way too early for pricing information, considering the test mule isn’t even wearing a true RS body, but we do know that the RS models are typically priced about $20,000 more than their respective “S” siblings. That said, we expect the next S5 to retail somewhere around $56,000, so the RS 5 will probably have an invoice of around $75,000 before options, taxes, and delivery.
